Suicide Boy

Seventeen-year-old Lee Hoon is a high school student living entirely alone, trapped in a suffocating cycle of isolation and despair. Crushed beneath the weight of crushing debts left behind by his abusive, alcoholic father who abandoned him, and the devastating medical bills from his late mother’s prolonged illness, Hoon has been pushed to the brink. With his meager savings completely exhausted and months of unpaid rent piling up, he sees no way out of his misery and has resolved to end his life. Yet, despite his unwavering desire to die, Hoon finds himself paralyzed by indecision over how to do it. To solve this morbid dilemma, he begins systematically testing every method of suicide he can conceive, treating his own death as a series of grim experiments. His suffering extends far beyond the walls of his empty apartment; at school, he endures relentless bullying that only deepens his severe depression. Cut off from any support system and tormented both at home and in the classroom, Hoon’s desperate search for the perfect way to die becomes a harrowing reflection of a boy who has already lost everything worth living for.
