Following a bitter argument with her mother, Keito impulsively flees her home with no destination in mind. Her path shifts when she assists an elderly woman with carrying groceries, earning an unexpected offer of shelter in one of the woman’s spare rooms. Grateful for the refuge, Keito settles into her new surroundings and begins slowly rebuilding her life from the ground up. She divides her time between working at a local record shop and pursuing her true passion: drawing an original comic centered around Angie, a Black jazz singer. It is within the aisles of the record store that Keito crosses paths with Niki, a striking trumpeter who plays in a funk band. Drawn to each other immediately, the two women share a passionate encounter. However, the morning after brings a painful reality check, as Niki makes it clear she has no interest in committing to a serious relationship. Heartbroken but deeply infatuated, Keito refuses to accept this boundary so easily. Instead of walking away, she resolves to hold on, determined to win over the elusive musician regardless of the emotional cost.
