As the Heart Led

After taking her own life by throwing herself into a river just before her arranged royal marriage, Yi-jae is reborn as Hailey, the daughter of a prestigious noble family. However, this second chance at life comes with an unexpected and terrifying burden: she can now see restless spirits that no living person should ever perceive. Most alarmingly, these lingering ghosts are constantly drawn to the king himself, swarming around him in unsettling numbers. Hailey’s days quickly become consumed by a grueling, secret struggle to exorcise the malicious entities crowding King Roderick. Bound by her newfound sight and her proximity to the crown, she dedicates herself to driving the spirits away, fighting a quiet supernatural battle within the palace walls. As Roderick spends more time in Hailey's presence during her relentless efforts, he begins to experience profound and inexplicable shifts in his well-being. The heavy fog clouding his mind starts to lift, bringing a sudden sharpness to his thoughts, while his physical condition improves in ways he cannot logically explain. Drawn together by the unseen forces haunting the throne, both Hailey and the king must navigate the dangerous intersection of royal duty and the restless dead.
