The World's Strongest Rearguard: Labyrinth Country's Novice Seeker

For Arihito Atobe, the most terrifying force in his life was once his relentless, workaholic boss, Kyouka Igarashi. Having escaped the crushing pressures of corporate servitude, he now finds himself in a fantastical realm where navigating monster-infested labyrinths is an everyday reality and survival depends entirely on cooperative teamwork. While many newcomers eagerly rush toward the front lines seeking glory and combat, Arihito deliberately chooses a different path by becoming a rearguard, a specialized support class dedicated to aiding allies from behind the scenes rather than engaging directly in battle. This strategic decision initially appears to be the perfect safeguard against repeating the exhausting patterns of his previous existence, allowing him to contribute without bearing the weight of direct confrontation. However, embracing this supportive role ultimately forces him to reconsider his understanding of partnership and collaboration in ways he never anticipated. Far from being a passive retreat from responsibility, his position as a rearguard illuminates the profound importance of trust and mutual reliance within a team. Through this unexpected journey, Arihito discovers that true strength lies not merely in avoiding past traumas, but in redefining what it means to stand beside others and work together toward a common goal in a dangerous new world.
