How to Avoid a Debut

Ha-Hyeon has no desire to become an idol. A recently graduated high school dancer, he is perfectly content pursuing his own path until a desperate plea from his uncle—a music producer—drags him into the spotlight. Reluctantly agreeing to help out of familial obligation, Ha-Hyeon steps onto the stage of Survival ID, a highly competitive televised audition program designed to form the next big idol group. The arrangement was supposed to be simple and entirely temporary. His uncle's strategy relied on Ha-Hyeon being swiftly eliminated in the early rounds, allowing him to fulfill his favor without any real consequences or lasting commitment to the entertainment industry. However, the carefully orchestrated plan begins to unravel the moment the cameras start rolling. Instead of fading into the background as intended, Ha-Hyeon’s natural talent and undeniable stage presence capture the audience's attention. To his mounting dismay, he continues to advance through every grueling round of the competition. Now trapped in a survival show he never wanted to join, Ha-Hyeon must figure out how to escape the growing spotlight before he accidentally achieves the very debut he has been trying so hard to avoid.
