The story of Fate/Extra CCC: Fox Tail unfolds within the hidden depths of the Moon Cell, specifically on its mysterious Far Side. In this isolated digital realm, the enigmatic entity known as BB leverages her extraordinary abilities to construct a sprawling and treacherous domain called the Sakura Labyrinth. This artificial maze serves as the central stage for the unfolding conflict, transforming the very architecture of the Moon Cell into a dangerous battleground far removed from the standard parameters of the original war. To populate her labyrinthine creation, BB orchestrates a massive disruption by forcibly extracting numerous Masters and Servants from the Moon Cell Holy Grail War taking place on the Near Side. The timing of these abductions varies drastically among the victims. Some participants are snatched away at the very last second, rescued just moments before their scheduled deletion from the system. Others are pulled from the ongoing tournament much later, specifically during the critical events of the sixth week. Thrust into an unfamiliar and hostile environment, these displaced combatants must navigate BB’s twisted game, struggling to survive and find a way out of the Sakura Labyrinth's perilous depths.
