Koikogare Overlap

A boy who attends night classes and a girl enrolled in the daytime program lead entirely separate lives, yet their worlds are bound by the very same room. Every day, they share the exact same classroom space, separated only by the shifting hours of their respective schedules. Their entire connection hinges on a fleeting window of time—a brief, ten-minute overlap when one arrives just as the other departs. Despite attending different shifts, this daily intersection becomes the quiet center of their routine. They pass each other like ships navigating the same harbor at dusk and dawn, exchanging nothing more than momentary glances within the familiar walls of their shared homeroom. The physical space connects them, but the rigid structure of their academic lives keeps them perpetually out of reach. As these short encounters repeat day after day, an unspoken question begins to take shape between them. Can genuine affection truly take root when two people are granted only ten minutes of proximity every single day? This one-shot explores the delicate possibility of romance blossoming in the narrow margins of time, where a simple passing glance might be all it takes to change everything.
