In the midst of a peaceful visit to an endangered species exhibit, Ichigo Momomiya's life takes a drastic turn when an earthquake strikes, merging her DNA with that of an iriomote cat. As part of Project μ, a secret endeavor to protect the world from alien invaders, Ichigo discovers she possesses the ability to transform into Mew Ichigo, a feline warrior capable of fighting off the extraterrestrial threats. As the world faces an alien menace seeking to reclaim Earth, Ichigo joins forces with four other girls who have undergone similar transformations, forming a team known as the Mew Mews to safeguard the planet and its inhabitants.
