Ayanashi

Driven to the brink of extinction, humanity has been forced to retreat beneath the earth, living like moles in subterranean cities to escape the terrifying monsters that rule the surface. These beasts are entirely immune to every conventional weapon mankind possesses, leaving civilization trapped in perpetual darkness. The sole hope for survival lies with a unique group of individuals known as the Ayanashi, who alone possess the strength to stand against the monstrous threat. In one of these underground sanctuaries, a pair of siblings discovers a mysterious, heavily wounded boy. He introduces himself as Holo, and over the following days, he gradually begins to trust them and open up about his past. However, their fragile peace is shattered when a monster breaches the depths of the city, unleashing devastating destruction upon everything in its path. Refusing to let the darkness consume them, Holo steps forward to confront the beast, wielding a blazing short sword fused directly to his right arm. As he faces the encroaching terror, the long and perilous journey to reclaim the light for a world swallowed by eternal night finally begins.
