Jujutsu Kaisen: Summer of Ashes, Autumn of Dust

This light novel adaptation explores the previously untold narrative gap between the tragic events at Satoru Gojo’s past and the commencement of the Kyoto Goodwill Event. Following the harrowing incident at Satosakura High School, Yuji Itadori encounters a young boy tormented by a malevolent curse, setting the stage for a new confrontation that tests his resolve as a jujutsu sorcerer during a period of relative quiet before the storm of inter-school competition. The encounter quickly escalates when Itadori discovers that this particular cursed spirit possesses a terrifying regenerative ability, reviving relentlessly even after being seemingly exorcised. This unique and persistent affliction presents an unprecedented challenge that defies conventional jujutsu techniques, forcing Itadori to confront not only the physical threat of an undying curse but also the emotional weight of protecting a victim caught in an endless cycle of supernatural suffering. The story delves into the complexities of curses that cannot be easily destroyed, highlighting the protagonist's determination to find a solution where brute force alone proves insufficient.
