Kaoru Sakurai is the designated heir to the prestigious Sakurai school of traditional Japanese dance. As a child, she shared an unbreakable bond with her closest companion, Shihou Takaaki, and the two made a heartfelt vow to remain by each other's side forever. However, their idyllic connection was abruptly severed when Takaaki departed for England to pursue his studies overseas, leaving Kaoru behind. A full decade passes before fate brings them together again. Now a young woman dedicated to her family's art, Kaoru is surprised to learn that Takaaki has returned to Japan and taken on the role of her personal tutor.
