The Great Snake’s Bride

For five centuries, a colossal snake deity has dwelled within an ancient mountain, revered and feared by the surrounding villagers. When Miyo, a young woman plagued by misfortune, is selected as a sacrificial tribute to become the serpent’s bride, she resigns herself to a terrifying fate. She fully expects the massive, talking creature to consume her, dreading the moment she will be presented to the beast that has haunted her nightmares since childhood. Yet, upon entering the god’s domain, Miyo discovers a reality starkly different from her grim expectations. Rather than treating her as prey, the deity embraces his role as a husband with unexpected tenderness, speaking gentle words through his flickering tongue and wrapping his powerful coils around her in protective affection. His kindness belies his monstrous appearance, challenging everything Miyo believed about the nature of her captor. As fear gradually gives way to understanding, she begins to see past his inhuman form and contemplates what it truly means to love and be loved by a divine beast.
