BL Drama no Shuen ni Narimashita

A highly popular boys' love manga is finally making the leap to the screen with a live-action television adaptation. The production casts two very different actors in the lead roles: Hajime Aoyanagi, a skilled performer who once thrived as a child star but has since seen his fame fade, and Yuichiro Akafuji, a strikingly handsome actor currently at the height of his popularity. Thrust together as co-stars, the pair must navigate both the demands of the script and their contrasting professional standings. Behind the scenes, the dynamic between the two leads proves far more complicated than their on-screen romance. Aoyanagi finds himself increasingly frustrated by Akafuji’s seemingly carefree and nonchalant demeanor, struggling to reconcile his own intense dedication with his co-star's relaxed approach. However, beneath that casual exterior, Akafuji harbors genuine feelings, having fallen deeply and sincerely in love with Aoyanagi. As filming progresses, the line between performance and reality begins to blur, leaving the fading former child star oblivious to the true affections directed his way. Ultimately, the success of the drama hinges not only on their acting abilities but on whether these two mismatched stars can navigate their complex personal connection to bring the beloved story to life.
