The Divine Punished One

To the fearful villagers, he is a devil incarnate. To his devoted godparents, he is a deeply filial son. His loyal followers revere him as an unparalleled master of puppet crafting, while his peers simply dismiss him as a bizarre eccentric. He is Lu Xiaoyi, known to all as the Divine Punished One—a young man burdened with a reputation as contradictory as the people who judge him. His extraordinary nature was recognized early on by a blind saint, who declared that the boy possessed the legendary Body of Divine Punishment. According to the saint’s prophecy, Lu Xiaoyi’s talents were so immense and outstanding that even the gods grew jealous of his potential. This divine mark of distinction was confirmed by a highly specific birthmark resembling a black bead, hidden away on his body. The saint proclaimed him to be the most unique individual among tens of billions of people, destined for a fate unlike any other. Yet, carrying the weight of such a monumental destiny comes with its own humiliating trials. While the revelation of his sacred birthmark cemented his status as a chosen figure of legend, it also came at a steep personal cost. Stripped of his privacy in the process of proving his divine origins, Lu Xiaoyi is left to lament the undignified reality of his situation, crying out in despair that everyone has now seen his backside.
