Imagine 29

Shimako Okazaki is a dedicated office worker at a fashion company who has her future carefully mapped out. Convinced that her boyfriend intends to propose on Christmas Eve, she makes plans to resign from her position and step into married life. However, her expectations shatter when he abruptly ends their relationship over the phone just before their scheduled date. Left alone in her apartment to process the sudden heartbreak, Shimako receives an entirely unexpected visitor: her younger sister, Minori, whom she has not seen in eighteen years. The two women could not be more different. While Shimako has always lived a structured, conventional life, Minori is a fiercely independent free spirit known for her uninhibited lifestyle and casual romances. Needing a place to stay, Minori moves into Shimako’s apartment, bringing her chaotic energy directly into her older sister’s newly upended world. As they navigate this sudden reunion under one roof, the dynamic between them begins to shift in unpredictable ways. Ultimately, the question remains whether Minori’s arrival will help Shimako rebuild her shattered love life, or if Shimako’s influence will be the one to change her wild younger sister forever.
