Haru no Ongaeshi

In the one-shot "Haru no Ongaeshi," a devoted feline harbors a profound sense of gratitude toward her former owner and becomes determined to repay his past kindness in a meaningful way. Recognizing that her current animal form severely limits her ability to express this debt of gratitude through human customs and social interaction, she seeks divine intervention to bridge the gap between species. Her singular desire is not born of vanity or curiosity about human life, but rather from a deep-seated loyalty and the need to fulfill an obligation that only a person could properly honor. Turning to the Cat God for assistance, the cat pleads for the ability to assume a human guise so she may adequately return the favor bestowed upon her. The deity acknowledges the sincerity of her request and grants her wish in an instant, transforming her with a sudden flash of magic. This supernatural metamorphosis sets the stage for a poignant tale of devotion, as the newly humanized cat navigates her transformed existence with the sole purpose of expressing her enduring appreciation to the man who once cared for her.
