Uglyhood

A fanatical religion is rapidly assimilating the world, its influence spreading unchecked across society. To halt this creeping domination, one individual has made a drastic choice: stepping into the role of their ultimate adversary, becoming the very "Satan" this zealous order fears. Yet the true danger lurking behind this holy crusade remains entirely hidden from humanity. The religion’s highest echelons are not guided by divine will, but secretly manipulated by extraterrestrial forces. While the general public remains blissfully ignorant of the puppet masters pulling the strings, the global consensus firmly insists that alien life does not exist. In reality, these otherworldly beings have already infiltrated every corner of the planet, hiding in plain sight among ordinary people. No government or institution suspects the quiet invasion unfolding right before their eyes, leaving humanity defenseless against a threat it refuses to acknowledge. How can one person be so absolutely certain of this impossible truth? The answer lies in a deeply guarded secret. The protagonist standing against the cult is not human at all. As an alien themselves, they possess the unique perspective and knowledge required to recognize the invaders for what they truly are, setting the stage for a hidden war between worlds fought under the guise of faith.
