Chijou no Seppun

Waka is a dedicated librarian facing a daunting practical dilemma: finding an affordable new apartment spacious enough to house her extensive personal book collection. Her search takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with Shinobu, a former high school classmate who holds a significant place in her memories. Years ago, he kissed her without warning and abruptly departed the country, leaving their brief connection unresolved. Now, after his prolonged absence abroad, he has returned and finds himself navigating the same housing struggles. Recognizing their shared predicament, Shinobu proposes a practical solution. He suggests they rent a large apartment together—one roomy enough to comfortably accommodate both of them and Waka’s beloved books. The arrangement seems ideal on paper, offering the space she desperately needs alongside the company of a familiar face from her past. However, as they settle into their new domestic routine, the reality of living under the same roof brings old feelings to the surface. Despite the casual nature of their agreement, Waka finds herself unable to ignore the lingering questions surrounding their history. As they share their daily lives, she remains quietly captivated by the memory of that sudden kiss long ago, wondering what it truly meant and where their renewed closeness might lead.
