Cooking with Wild Game

Asuta Tsurumi, a dedicated chef trainee and ordinary Japanese teenager, faces a devastating crisis when harassment against his family’s restaurant escalates violently. In a desperate attempt to preserve his father’s cherished cooking knife, he plunges into an inferno, only to awaken not in the afterlife but in a completely unfamiliar world. His survival hinges on Ai Fa, a skilled huntress who rescues him from immediate peril. However, this guardian possesses a formidable temperament that promises significant challenges for the displaced young man, suggesting their partnership will be far from harmonious as they navigate this strange new reality together. Beyond adjusting to Ai Fa’s strong personality, Asuta discovers that his savior carries burdens of her own, adding layers of complexity to their burgeoning alliance. The rookie chef must now determine how effectively his culinary expertise can translate to an environment where ingredients and customs are entirely alien. With pervasive dangers threatening his safety at every turn, mere survival becomes a prerequisite before he can even attempt to apply his skills. Ultimately, Asuta’s journey through this wild domain tests both his resilience and his passion for cooking with game, forcing him to adapt or perish in a land where traditional knowledge offers little protection.
