Kamiyama Village is slowly fading into obscurity. Plagued by a steadily declining population, the rural settlement has earned the grim reputation of a ghost town. However, official census numbers fail to capture the full picture of its residents. Alongside the dwindling number of humans, the village is home to genjuu—mythical creatures who take the form of monster girls. Because these supernatural inhabitants are not counted toward the official population total, Kamiyama’s demographic crisis appears far worse on paper than it truly is. Determined to reverse their community's bleak trajectory, the human and monster girls join forces in an ambitious effort to revitalize their shrinking home. At the center of this initiative is Akane, a human girl who finds herself unexpectedly thrust into a position of leadership. Pressed into serving as the president of the Kamiyama Village Public Outreach Committee, she must navigate the challenges of promoting a forgotten town. Together, this unlikely group works to breathe new life into their beloved village before it disappears entirely.
