Naota’s everyday existence is anything but ordinary. He resides with his highly eccentric father and grandfather in a peculiar town dominated by a colossal, iron-shaped factory looming ominously over the landscape from its hilltop perch. Adding to his daily frustrations, his older brother’s former girlfriend persistently flirts with him, leaving him caught in an awkward web of unwanted attention. For Naota, navigating these bizarre domestic and social dynamics is already more than enough to handle. However, his chaotic routine shatters completely when a mischievous and playful alien girl crashes into his life—literally. She runs him down with her Vespa scooter before casually striking him across the head with a bass guitar. This violent, absurd encounter is far from a random accident. Instead, it marks the sudden beginning of Naota’s unexpected entanglement in a sprawling interplanetary ideological war, thrusting him into a cosmic conflict he never could have anticipated.
