On what was supposed to be a quiet day off, Ogami Yuusuke unexpectedly stumbles upon a painful scene involving his classmate, Nanase Hiyori. He witnesses her in a tense confrontation with Yoshihide Kouma, a boy she has known since childhood. Unbeknownst to most, the two had been secretly dating for an entire year. However, that hidden relationship was built on betrayal, as Yoshihide had spent their time together simultaneously seeing other girls behind Hiyori’s back. The emotional breaking point arrives when Yoshihide callously hurls cruel words at her without hesitation. Devastated by his brazen lack of remorse, a heartbroken Hiyori flees the scene in tears. Unable to simply walk away and leave a classmate in such obvious distress, Yuusuke makes the decision to follow her. Rather than prying into her pain, he offers her a gentle ear and chooses to talk with her through her sorrow. What begins as a simple act of compassion quickly blossoms into an unexpected bond between the two classmates. Through their shared conversations and Yuusuke's steady presence, the foundation of a genuine friendship is laid. As he continues to support her in the aftermath of Yoshihide's cruelty, Yuusuke finds himself gradually growing closer to Hiyori, stepping into her life just when she needs someone who truly cares.
