Oni no Hanayome

In a version of Japan where humans and supernatural beings coexist, ayakashi such as oni, fox spirits, and nekomata have seamlessly integrated into everyday society. Revered for their extraordinary abilities and striking beauty, these entities occasionally select human girls to serve as their brides—chosen companions destined to bring prosperity to their clans in exchange for eternal love and devotion. High school student Yuzuko lives in the shadow of this tradition. Her younger sister has been chosen as the promised bride of a fox spirit, leaving Yuzuko neglected and unloved by her own family. The constant disparity in affection slowly chips away at her self-worth until, one night, her heart finally breaks under the weight of her isolation. Fleeing into the streets, Yuzuko unexpectedly crosses paths with the most beautiful young man she has ever seen. With piercing red eyes, he introduces himself as Reiya Kiryuuin, the heir apparent to the oni—the most powerful tribe among all ayakashi. This chance encounter marks the beginning of a new chapter for a girl who believed she would never be chosen.
