To Drown In You

On a quiet, isolated island, a young boy named Hye-Seong forms an unlikely bond with Yun-Hae, an enigmatic mermaid. In their secluded world, the two become each other’s sole companion, sharing a childhood defined by innocence and unwavering devotion. However, their brief time together is abruptly cut short when Hye-Seong is forced to move away, leaving the mermaid entirely alone once more. Six years pass before Yun-Hae awakens a mysterious power that finally allows her to track down her long-lost friend. Yet the reunion she envisioned is far from the idyllic return to their past. Time has irrevocably altered Hye-Seong, who now lives a life that no longer revolves solely around her. When he gently but firmly tells her that they have grown too different to maintain their childhood closeness, Yun-Hae refuses to accept his distance. What begins as a deep-seated attachment slowly warps into something far darker, as her desperate longing for him transforms into a consuming obsession.
