In/Spectre

Kotoko and Kuro share a profound connection to the supernatural realm, having both been touched by enigmatic spirits known as yokai. This otherworldly encounter has granted them extraordinary abilities that set them apart from ordinary humans. However, such power comes at a steep price. To obtain her unique gifts, Kotoko was forced to sacrifice an eye and a leg, leaving her permanently altered. Meanwhile, Kuro’s own supernatural burden has left his personal life in complete disarray, stripping away any sense of normalcy he once held. When renegade entities begin causing unrest within the spirit world, Kotoko approaches Kuro with a proposition: they must combine their powers to confront these rogue threats. Given the shattered state of his everyday existence, Kuro finds himself with few alternatives and reluctantly agrees to the partnership. Yet, beneath Kotoko’s straightforward mission lies a deeper layer of intent. While she presents their alliance as a necessary duty to maintain balance between worlds, she harbors ulterior motives of her own, suggesting that this collaboration may ultimately serve purposes far beyond simply hunting down wayward spirits.
