Since she was a young girl, Youko has lived under the watchful protection of Shige-san, a steadfast guardian who has guided and supported her throughout her life. Despite his constant presence, he has always maintained a respectful distance and strict propriety in their relationship. However, Shige-san is no ordinary protector—he is a ghost, a poltergeist bound to her side. Unable to speak or interact with the physical world in conventional ways, he communicates solely by tossing small stones. He uses these subtle gestures to signal his disapproval of her choices or to gently direct her toward the right path. As Youko grows older, she begins to experience the unfamiliar stirrings of first love, introducing a new and delicate complexity into her life. The emotions of young romance bring uncertainty, and she must navigate this uncharted territory while relying on the silent guidance of her spectral companion. With Shige-san observing from the shadows and offering his wordless advice through his familiar stone-tossing, Youko faces a poignant question about her future. Will the unwavering support of her otherworldly protector be enough to guide her heart toward genuine happiness, or will the boundaries between the living and the dead complicate her search for true love?
