Madonna wa Glass Case no Naka

Thirty-two-year-old Yamamoto Yuuya has carved out a comfortable niche for himself as an employee at a specialty reptile shop, where his profound fascination with scaled creatures borders on fetishism. Despite his complete lack of success in romantic endeavors with women, he maintains a genuine sense of contentment and stability within his quiet, unconventional daily routine. His specialized world is one of predictable solitude, where the company of lizards and snakes provides all the companionship he believes he needs to remain happily resigned to his single status. This carefully constructed equilibrium is abruptly shattered when a strikingly beautiful young woman enters his store seeking to purchase a gecko. Her unexpected arrival serves as a dramatic catalyst that disrupts his isolated existence and forces him to confront emotions he had long since abandoned. What begins as a simple commercial transaction quickly evolves into a pivotal encounter that challenges his self-imposed boundaries, suggesting that his life of peaceful resignation may be on the verge of an unforeseen and transformative change.
