In a world where superpowers have become a common phenomenon, the sudden manifestation of extraordinary abilities in children is classified as Girls' Witch Syndrome. This widespread bestowal of power traces its origins back to a mysterious entity known as the Mother Witch. To manage and utilize these gifted individuals, an organization called CARD was established, comprised entirely of the young girls who possess these abilities. Standing at the absolute pinnacle of CARD's ranks is Ayumu Takenami, a formidable fighter who holds the prestigious title of Brave Star. Despite his immense responsibilities, Ayumu’s priorities shift dramatically after he effortlessly dispatches a group of armed kidnappers with his bare fists somewhere in the Middle East. Abandoning his duties entirely, he travels back to Japan for one simple reason: to see the girl he has a crush on. That girl is Yuki Saimiya, a perfectly ordinary seventeen-year-old high school student. Though she possesses only minor, insignificant powers, Yuki spends her days dreaming of becoming more like the legendary Brave Star she has heard so many rumors about, completely unaware of the connection that is about to bridge their two vastly different worlds.
