Ptolemy's Singularity

Satoshi Hase, the acclaimed author renowned for exploring advanced artificial intelligence and complex technological worldviews in BEATLESS, returns as the World Design Editor for a groundbreaking new manga. Ptolemy's Singularity invites readers into a meticulously crafted near-future setting where speculative science fiction meets intricate societal design, showcasing Hase’s signature ability to blend philosophical inquiry with futuristic aesthetics. This creative collaboration promises a narrative deeply rooted in coherent world-building, reflecting the same intellectual rigor that defined his previous explorations of human-machine relationships and post-human ethics. The story unfolds within Mega-float, a massive floating city established as an Autonomous Habitat Quarter (AHQ) that serves as both sanctuary and laboratory for humanity’s next evolutionary step. Within this isolated urban environment, a mysterious phenomenon known as "Magic" has emerged, defying conventional scientific understanding and challenging the foundations of this technologically dependent society. As residents navigate the intersection of cutting-edge infrastructure and inexplicable supernatural forces, the series probes the true nature of this anomaly, questioning whether it represents a breakthrough in human potential or a fundamental flaw in the engineered paradise they inhabit.
