Latin

"Latin" is a curated anthology of short stories by manga artist Enaga Takahata, featuring a blend of science fiction, fantasy, and slice-of-life narratives. The collection showcases the author's distinct artistic style and storytelling versatility across several standalone works originally published in prominent manga magazines. The titular story, "Latin," originally serialized in Super Dash & Go! between 2011 and 2012, centers on a robot named Latin who is taken in by a young man. The narrative intimately explores the evolving dynamic and changing relationship between the human and his mechanical companion as they navigate life together. In addition to the title piece, the anthology includes "Yuki no Nestore" (Nestore of the Snowfields), released in early 2012, and "Nekomatasou no Shokutaku" (The Dining Table of Nekomata Manor), published in the spring of 2012. The volume also features "Reversi," a bonus work initially distributed as an appendix in Jump SQ in late 2011. Together, these stories form a cohesive compilation that highlights Takahata's creative range and emotional depth within the short-form manga format.
