Mielino Kashiwagi

For those struggling to end a difficult relationship, an unusual establishment offers a specialized solution. Kashiwagi possesses a unique supernatural ability that activates upon physical contact, allowing her to glimpse the future romantic trajectory of anyone she touches. Despite this extraordinary gift, she remains personally inexperienced in matters of the heart and cannot interpret whether the visions she witnesses represent joyful unions or tragic separations. This inherent ambiguity creates a central tension in her work, as she navigates emotional landscapes she cannot fully comprehend while attempting to assist others with their most intimate dilemmas. She applies this enigmatic talent at a distinctive venue known as the Break-Up Cafe, where patrons seek professional assistance in terminating their romantic entanglements. The establishment operates under the management of Sano, with Konno serving as a clerk, creating a supportive team environment dedicated to resolving complicated interpersonal situations. Together, they facilitate difficult conversations and provide closure for clients who lack the courage or clarity to end relationships on their own. Through this unconventional business, Kashiwagi continues to explore the complexities of human connection even as her own understanding of love remains elusive and uncertain.
