The Misfortune of Kyon and Koizumi

Haruhi Suzumiya is a force of nature—loud, impulsive, and impossible to ignore. Wherever she goes, she effortlessly seizes the spotlight, demanding attention and absolute obedience from everyone around her. As the self-appointed leader of the SOS Brigade, she requires a loyal cast of club members to fulfill her grand ambitions, but none bear the brunt of her relentless directives quite like Kyon. He is her favorite target for orders, constantly swept up in the wake of her overwhelming personality and chaotic demands. Yet this anthology offers a refreshing shift in perspective. Crafted through a diverse collection of short comics and illustrations by various artists, the narrative steps away from Haruhi’s domineering presence to place the focus exactly where it has long been overdue. For once, the male members of the SOS Brigade are given the opportunity to step out from the background and take center stage. In this unique compilation, Kyon and his fellow clubmates finally claim their own moment to shine, offering readers an engaging new look at the familiar dynamics of the brigade.
