Hana to Harinezumi

Tsukasa serves as his school’s student council president and is widely admired for his striking appearance. Despite the constant attention he receives from female classmates, he remains remarkably aloof and struggles to connect with those around him. Recently, however, a new mystery has begun circulating among the student body: Tsukasa has started arriving at school with visible injuries on his face, leaving everyone to wonder what could be causing them. Asada Hana, a girl who harbors a deep crush on the enigmatic president, becomes determined to uncover the truth behind his unexplained wounds. Driven by her feelings, she decides to secretly follow him after school one day. To her surprise, she discovers that the supposedly unsociable Tsukasa has been spending his time trying to gently befriend a stray dog he recently found. The animal, frightened and defensive, repeatedly bites him during his earnest attempts to earn its trust, which explains the marks he carries into class each morning. Armed with this unexpected revelation, Hana finds herself holding a secret that reveals a softer, more vulnerable side of the boy she admires. As she contemplates whether to step forward and offer her help, she wonders if sharing this hidden struggle might finally bridge the distance between them and give her the chance to grow closer to her crush.
