Miu-chan no Hanaji

High school student Misumi Sawa conceals a deeply private fixation from everyone around her: she experiences intense excitement whenever her closest friend, Miu-chan, suffers a nosebleed. Due to Miu’s natural predisposition to frequent bleeding episodes, Sawa has long derived secret pleasure from this recurring aspect of their everyday interactions. This hidden dynamic defines their friendship until the day Miu’s nosebleeds abruptly and completely cease, leaving Sawa unexpectedly bereft of the stimulus she had quietly come to depend upon. Desperate to restore what has been lost, Sawa resorts to increasingly extreme measures in an attempt to provoke another episode. Her efforts grow more frantic as her unfulfilled desires intensify, pushing her beyond reasonable boundaries in pursuit of a reaction that no longer comes naturally. Ultimately, her escalating desperation culminates in a catastrophic and irreversible incident that forever alters the relationship between the two girls. This compelling psychological drama was awarded the Grand Prize at the 64th Shounen Sirius Newcomer Awards and earned publication in the October 2026 issue of Monthly Shounen Sirius.
