Osananajimi wa, Nyaa to Naite Skirt no Naka

Natsume Ichika is an unremarkable high school girl whose most meaningful bond was once with her childhood friend, Maki Saihara. For reasons left unspoken, the two drifted apart and have not exchanged a single word in over a year. When fate places them in the same classroom and assigns them both to the school's gardening committee, Ichika sees a long-awaited chance to mend their fractured relationship. Yet her efforts are met with cold indifference, as Maki steadfastly refuses to even meet her gaze. The silence finally breaks when Maki unexpectedly appears at Ichika’s home one day, carrying a startling secret she can no longer hide. Beneath her hair, a pair of real cat ears has sprouted from her head. This bizarre revelation draws the cat-loving Ichika into a strange new reality alongside her former companion, who has inexplicably begun behaving with the carefree, whimsical nature of a feline. Bound together by this unusual transformation, the two girls must navigate the lingering distance between them while unraveling the truth behind a slightly mysterious curse that has forever altered their lives.
