We're Not Cut Out to be Lovers

For six months, Kumazawa, a reserved auto mechanic, has endured living next door to Koichi, an energetic YouTuber who fashions himself as an authority on romance. The constant noise from Koichi’s recordings finally pushes the brooding Kumazawa past his breaking point. When he storms over to demand quiet, the confrontation takes an unexpected turn as Kumazawa silences his neighbor with a sudden, passionate kiss. Despite this impulsive moment, Kumazawa has no intention of pursuing a relationship with a straight man. Still recovering from a painful breakup in which his former partner was unfaithful, he is deeply guarded and convinced that any connection between them is doomed to fail. However, Koichi refuses to back down, showing up at Kumazawa’s door night after night and insisting he will not leave until he is completely satisfied. As their purely physical arrangement continues, Koichi remains determined to break through Kumazawa’s emotional walls and prove him wrong. What begins as a tense clash between two incompatible neighbors slowly challenges everything Kumazawa believes about trust and intimacy. Ultimately, they must face whether an arrangement built entirely outside the boundaries of being "meant to be" can evolve into something genuine and lasting.
