Kakemakumo, Kashikoki

On what should be the most sacred day of his life, Ginrei, the Fox Spirit of the Silver Order, prepares to exchange marital vows with his long-time fiancée, Menou, the Fox Princess of Agate. However, their divine ceremony is unexpectedly interrupted by the arrival of Handa Shin. At twenty-three years old, Shin finds himself without a job or a home, seeking refuge from a sudden summer downpour within the walls of Ginrei’s shrine. Driven by hunger and entirely unbothered by the sanctity of his surroundings, Shin discovers the ceremonial food laid out as an offering and devours it without hesitation. Between bites, he casually remarks that he would gladly agree to become the fox spirit's bride if it meant enjoying such exquisite meals every single day. This brazen declaration sets the stage for a story woven across four distinct parts. The narrative unfolds through four chapters in its opening section and three chapters in its second, further enriched by two side stories intimately connected to the main plot, bringing the complete collection to nine chapters.
