SANDA

Sanda is an ordinary second-year middle school student whose life takes a sudden, violent turn when his classmate, Fuyumura, attacks him with a kitchen knife. Caught completely off guard by the unprovoked assault, Sanda struggles to comprehend what could have driven his peer to such extremes. Unable to find any logical explanation for the hostility, he eventually convinces himself that the incident was nothing more than a cruel prank, attributing Fuyumura’s erratic behavior to the strange and unpredictable nature of adolescence. However, Sanda’s attempt to rationalize the attack is entirely misguided. The truth behind the violence runs far deeper than a simple phase of teenage rebellion. Fuyumura did not lash out randomly; rather, he acted on a chilling suspicion regarding Sanda’s heritage. Beneath the surface of their everyday school life, Fuyumura believes that Sanda is the direct descendant of a specific, mysterious lineage—a revelation that transforms a seemingly normal classroom dynamic into something far more dangerous and complex.
