Horo-Beat is a thrilling tag-team battle manga that explores an unlikely alliance between humans and youkai. The story follows Jin Narumi, a second-year middle school student burdened with the ability to see monsters, demons, ghosts, and other supernatural entities. Every morning, he visits his friend Hinata at her family’s temple, which happens to be completely overrun by these unseen creatures. Because Hinata lacks Jin’s unique sight, she remains blissfully unaware of the spirits surrounding her and dismisses his constant warnings as mere imagination. Their ordinary routine shatters when a colossal youkai launches a sudden attack on the temple grounds. The creature quickly overpowers them, knocking Hinata unconscious and pushing Jin to the very brink of death. Just as all hope seems lost, Leo, the temple’s resident cat, undergoes a startling transformation into a powerful raijuu beast. Forging an unexpected partnership, Jin and the electrified feline join forces in a desperate battle to defeat the giant youkai and save Hinata’s life.
