The Stranger in the Hoarding House

Following a deeply distressing incident at his workplace, Kamakura withdrew entirely from society. He sealed himself inside his apartment, allowing garbage to accumulate around him as he resigned himself to a life of complete isolation. His stagnant existence is abruptly disrupted when a man named Katsuyoshi climbs through his balcony window. Acting on the request of their landlord, Katsuyoshi proposes helping Kamakura clear out the cluttered space, but insists that Kamakura temporarily move in with him while the cleaning takes place. Bewildered by the sudden generosity of a total stranger, Kamakura reluctantly accepts the offer. As they begin sorting through the accumulated debris, he gradually discovers that Katsuyoshi is not merely performing a selfless act; he carries his own hidden motives and unresolved emotional wounds. Working side by side, the two men slowly lower their defenses, sharing the burdens of their respective pasts. Through this quiet, shared effort, they forge an unexpected bond, finding solace in one another's company. This gentle slice-of-life romance chronicles their gradual journey toward recovery, proving that healing and moving forward can happen one trash bag at a time.
