Myorin is the daughter of the head of the Ko clan, a family entrusted with protecting the nation through extraordinary spiritual abilities. Raised alongside her guardian beast, Yasutora, she has spent her life searching for this soulmate to no avail. Refusing to surrender to despair, Myorin dedicates herself to relentless training, determined to discover her own worth and what she can achieve on her own. Her quiet perseverance is shattered when a demon attacks the Ko family estate, burning their mansion to the ground and murdering her mother. Severely injured in the assault, Myorin is carried away into the mountains by Yasutora to escape the devastation. There, the guardian beast encounters General Ejiryu and forces him to become Myorin's mate. The moment their souls bind together, an overwhelming and instinctual desire to unite consumes them both, despite having only just met. Bound by fate and driven by the tragedy that brought them together, Myorin and Ejiryu must now navigate the uncertain path that lies ahead.
