Dragon Knights Gaiden: One Day, Another Day

Dragon Knights Gaiden: One Day, Another Day is a manga originally published in WINGS magazine. This volume compiles a series of standalone stories and prequel narratives that expand upon the world of Dragon Knights. Set before the conclusion of the main series, the titular story offers an intimate glimpse into daily life within the Dragon Castle, primarily observed through Zoma’s perspective. Other entries explore pivotal events that occurred long before the central conflict began. "Juuji ni Hikaru Hoshi" chronicles the fateful first meeting between Lykouleon and Raselane while introducing Lykouleon’s uncle, Fieruto. Similarly, "Crescendo" details how Lykouleon and Kaistern crossed paths, ultimately leading to Kaistern’s appointment as the Blue Dragon Officer. Darker histories are also unveiled in "Mamono no Mori no Kioku," which delves into the early relationship between Bierrez and Cesia and reveals the origins of Nadil’s rise as the Demon Lord. Beyond these foundational backstories, the collection features character-driven vignettes that highlight both humor and hidden depths. "Happiest Children" presents three distinct tales: Rune’s bizarre dream involving cross-dressing companions, a lighthearted adventure shared by the three dragons, and a slice-of-life look at Alfeegi, Ri-ma, and Duma. The compilation concludes with two confessional chapters focusing on Thatz and Rath. The former uncovers how Thatz discovered Rath’s closely guarded secret, while the latter—the final side story serialized by Ohkami—provides profound insight into Rath’s complex history and his deeply significant bond with Kaistern.
