Fuguno Masuo, a hapless 24-year-old businessman, has never had a girlfriend. After consulting a fortune teller, he believes he'll never have a chance in love. However, his luck changes when he meets the beautiful Nagisa Shiozaki at a marriage interview pub, who has had the same poor luck with men. Determined to win her heart, Masuo must navigate the challenges of wooing her, while fending off other suitors and the affections of a co-worker, all while avoiding the awkward situations that have become his hallmark.
