Ikitsugi no Tadashi Timing

Late one night, a woman happens upon an unexpected sight in the quiet expanse of a convenience store parking lot. Standing entirely alone is a young girl clutching a swimming bag, her face shadowed by a deeply gloomy expression. The desolate hour and the child’s solitary presence immediately draw the woman's concern, prompting her to approach the girl in the stillness of the night. Worried about the child being out so late on her own, the woman gently offers to drive her back home. However, the girl quietly shakes her head, refusing the ride without offering any explanation for her reluctance. Sensing that something is troubling the child and recognizing that she clearly does not wish to return to wherever she came from, the woman thoughtfully shifts her approach. Rather than pressing the issue or leaving the girl stranded in the empty lot, she extends a different kind of invitation. Instead of taking her home, she suggests they simply go for a drive together—an open-ended offer meant to provide comfort, companionship, and a brief escape into the night.
