Kouta and Sakura are high school students who have been inseparable since childhood, growing up so closely that everyone around them assumed they were destined to be together. Yielding to the expectations of their peers, the two decided to try dating, but neither ever developed genuine romantic feelings for the other. Despite this failed experiment in romance, they eventually became intimate, sharing a deeply personal experience before returning to their familiar dynamic. Now, Sakura frequently teases Kouta about being the one she lost her virginity to, delighting in how easily he blushes. Through all the playful banter, their relaxed and comfortable bond remains completely unchanged. Everything shifts when Kouta discovers that Sakura has secretly won a prestigious novel prize. Stunned by this hidden side of the girl he thought he knew inside out, he is quickly pulled into helping resolve a series of troubles involving Ui, a notorious problem child at their school. As they navigate these unexpected challenges together, the easygoing foundation of their friendship begins to fracture and transform into something entirely new. This is a story about what happens after the romance ends, following two former lovers as they redefine their relationship and discover what truly comes next.
