Tomoaki Kanba has always looked up to his childhood friend, Ibuki Tachibana. With her effortlessly boyish charm and striking presence, she left a lasting impression on him years ago, inspiring a bold childhood vow: he promised that one day, he would become even cooler than she was. However, four years have passed since they made that pact, and reality has not unfolded quite as Tomoaki planned. Rather than giving him the chance to surpass her, time has only amplified Ibuki's appeal, transforming her into an even more breathtakingly handsome young woman. Despite the passing years, certain things between them remain stubbornly fixed. The twelve-centimeter height gap that separates them stands as a constant, unbridgeable reminder of the dynamic they have always shared, mirroring the emotional distance Tomoaki feels he still needs to cross. Yet, beneath this seemingly unchanged relationship lies a hidden truth waiting to surface. This story marks the beginning of a heartfelt romance centered on a remarkably cool girl who harbors deep, earnest feelings for a boy still striving to live up to his own promise.
