Now in his thirties, Kashiwagi has recently transitioned into an entirely new industry, placing him under the guidance of Amamiya, a brilliant and highly capable boss who happens to be younger than him. Despite Amamiya’s professional excellence, he appears noticeably uneasy when interacting with his older subordinate. Aware of this underlying tension and eager to build a more comfortable working relationship, Kashiwagi searches for the right moment to engage his mentor in a relaxed, genuine conversation. However, Amamiya’s demanding schedule makes finding such an opportunity nearly impossible. Determined to bridge the gap between them, Kashiwagi stays late one evening after work and discovers Amamiya still at the office, buried under a heavy load of overtime. Seeing a chance to finally connect, Kashiwagi steps in to offer his assistance, hoping that lending a hand might ease the awkwardness between them, even if only slightly.
