Hell Warden Higuma

On the surface, Higuma Kagarite appears to be an ordinary high school student navigating the routine challenges of adolescence. However, he carries a profound and dangerous burden inherited through his bloodline. His family has been personally commissioned by King Enma, the ruler of hell, to serve as Hell Wardens. Tasked with tracking down malevolent souls that have broken free from the underworld, Higuma utilizes his specialized abilities to exorcise fugitive spirits and protect innocent humans who fall victim to demonic possession. His dual life takes on new urgency when he crosses paths with Ayako, a classmate plagued by inexplicable bouts of kleptomania she cannot recall or control. As Higuma investigates her condition, he uncovers a darker domestic crisis: Ayako’s brother has recently grown violently abusive toward her and the rest of their family. Recognizing the sinister influence at play, Higuma realizes that both siblings are being tormented by otherworldly forces. Determined to intervene, the young Hell Warden makes a solemn vow to rescue Ayako and her brother from their suffering. To do so, he must confront the demons haunting their lives and drag them back to the depths of hell, ensuring the safety of the human world while fulfilling his sacred duty to King Enma.
