Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took In a High School Runaway

Yoshida is an ordinary salaryman whose life has recently been upended by a painful romantic rejection. Left heartbroken and adrift, he spends his evenings drowning his sorrows in alcohol, attempting to numb the sting of his shattered feelings. One night, while stumbling home in a drunken haze, his routine takes an unexpected turn when he discovers a young high school girl sitting alone on the street. She is a runaway with nowhere to go, and in her desperation, she offers him her body in exchange for a place to sleep. Rather than exploiting her vulnerability, Yoshida firmly rejects her proposition. Instead, he chooses to take her in under one simple condition: she must earn her keep by doing household chores. This unexpected arrangement forces two deeply mismatched individuals into the same living space, bridging the vast gap between a dejected adult office worker and a displaced teenager. What follows is an unconventional romantic comedy that explores the evolving dynamic of the most unlikely pair imaginable, as they navigate their shared daily life and slowly help each other heal from the wounds of their respective pasts.
