In the primordial era, the formless world was overrun by vile demons that hunted humanity as prey. These monstrous entities feasted upon mankind, ensuring that human civilization remained perpetually fragile and subjugated beneath their relentless terror. For countless generations, survival seemed impossible against such overwhelming darkness, leaving humanity trapped in an endless cycle of despair and slaughter. Salvation finally arrived during the first recorded year of history, when a colossal mountain descended from the realm of the Gods into the mortal world. Etched across its immense surface was a single divine decree: "Heaven Prevails." This miraculous event became known throughout history as the Grand Descent. Drawn by its power, the Three Great Sages journeyed to this Mystic Mountain, where they uncovered the secrets of harvesting what is now recognized as magic. Armed with these newfound mystic arts, the sages established the Mystic Cults and founded eighty-one sacred shrines across the land. These institutions served as beacons of hope, channeling otherworldly powers to shield humanity from demonic predation. Through their guidance, mankind finally gained the strength to wage an eternal war for survival, transforming a once-hopeless struggle into a fierce fight to reclaim the world from the forces of darkness.
